Objective

Filmmaking is a powerful tool for communicating substantive messages through the use of real world observations. With my formal university training and varied experience in photography, cinematography, and non-linear editing, I am able to explore every avenue of a subject and cultivate the story to be told. I am also determined to use my medium in a meaningful way. I am passionate about a number of social and environmental issues and it is my goal to dedicate my career to the exploration and documentation of development in these areas.

DGA Productions- Post Production Supervisor/Editor September 2006- August 2010

Main responsibilities include chief editor of Cook’s Country from America’s Test Kitchen for PBS and organizing manager of all other editing projects. Manager of three active Final Cut Pro/ Avid suites. Field producer, cameraman, photgrapher, soundman, digital media technician and grip for Discovery Channel, ESPN, CBS, NBC, National Geographic Channel, WGBH, Fox, and various freelance companies.

ESPN- Grip/Gaffer          September 2005-August 2006

Traveled with ESPN to grip and gaff various sporting events. Main responsibilities included setting camera and sound equipment, steady camera AC, and mobile stage unit set-ups. Operated robotic and sky camera positions.

Education

Northeastern University- Bachelor of the Arts         January 2004- May 2007

Media Studies Major with a Minor in Film Studies. Did 3 separate Co-Op experiences with CN8, ESPN, and DGA Productions. Work for the media equipment rental department for 2 years controlling film and video equipment and tutoring students in the use of Avid editing suites. Co-founder of the Northeastern Media Team, which was responsible for creating contract media work on campus and throughout Boston.
